Beautiful Stamps I: Dutch Christmas 1963

Dutch stamp art, 1963, of a boy putting down his Christmas tree for a minute to feed the doves of peace: The stamp reads “5 cents to fight against tuberculosis”.

This charity stamp was sold for twice its value, with the value-added amount directly benefiting the “Dutch society for the Prevention of Tuberculosis”. Nowadays, this disease affects less than one per cent of the population in Holland, but is still very strong in other less developed countries.

As Quotas, we are very happy to be able to offer the opportunity to all our participants to directly donate their monthly award to Doctors without Borders, an international humanitarian-aid organization and Nobel Peace prize laureate.
