Deutsche Post: letter transit time measurement

In order to measure domestic letter transit times our German corporate and household panelists send and receive more than 300,000 test letters per year. The data that results from this continuous process is rigorously validated by Quotas and finally reported to Deutsche Post AG to support their internal quality control.

The regional distribution of the test letters and their formats reflects the actual distribution of all posted letters in Germany. All existing delivery and mailing options are taken into account in this measurement system, which determines how many letters actually reach their destination end-to-end in J+1

Quotas’ QuoTrax®-system supports the measurement by determining the exact posting and delivery times of the letters. This measurement system complies with the EN 13850 standard, was certified by TÜV Rheinland in 2005 and has been audited annually since then.
