{"id":580,"date":"2015-07-06T06:31:02","date_gmt":"2015-07-06T04:31:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/quotas.de\/?page_id=580"},"modified":"2023-09-01T09:48:31","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T07:48:31","slug":"air-rail-bus-comparison","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/quotas.de\/en\/references\/air-rail-bus-comparison\/","title":{"rendered":"Air-Rail-Bus comparison"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>UIC \u2013 International Union of Railways<\/h2>\n<p>In 2014, Quotas was contracted by International Union of Railways (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uic.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UIC<\/a>) to investigate potential differences in ticket prices between rail, plane and bus on selected, highly-frequented European routes.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this study was to review the ticket prices of trains, planes and buses on selected national and cross-border routes in Europe, where air and rail can be substituted due to similar overall travel times.
